Instructional Procedures

a. Lesson Set: To begin and "hook" our children (learners), mommy and daddy will roleplay to show the difference between good and bad relationships interactions in a funny way.

b. Techniques and activities:

1. Parents will roleplay to introduce the material.
2. Parents will describe the course (what it is, what we wish to accomplish and why) and material. "The Four Horsemen Typograhy" will be used to illustrate a "feel" for the words and help define them:

3. The family will watch the following video, which describes The Four Horsemen using animation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o30Ps-_8is.
4. Parents will teach The Four Horsemen.
5. Parents will teach remedies.
6. Children will role-play The Four Horsemen and Remedies.
7. Parents will teach more deeply about Horseman Contempt.
8. Children will role-play Horseman Contempt and its remedies.

c. Lesson Closure:

1. The lesson will be summarized
2. An Adventure Map will be introduced ("unlocked" as a game) to be used during the week.
3. Homework will be given to begin practicing applying remedies for behavioral change.

Supplemental Activities: Extension and remediation

Parents/teacher: email and/or text older children each day after the lesson, to provide encouragement and check in on progress.

Assessment/Evaluation

Informal evaluation will be initially applied by using the Adventure Map. Each day during the week the family will decide how well it has done as a whole by looking at the family's progress on the Adventure Map. A sticker will be place on the map if parents believe the family has given a strong effort in applying the lesson. Feedback will therefore be immediate, and additional feedback will be given via additional shared items on the blog.
